"what if someone handed you a microphone?"
Someone once asked me, "What would you say if someone handed you a mic at the superbowl?"
It stopped me in my tracks because I had no idea what I would do - would I even have the presence to accept the microphone into my hand? Let alone speak anything meaningful?
Even though this scenario seems unlikely, we all have multiple opportunities each day to "take the mic" and speak our minds, or to let the moment pass us by and stay silent.
Knowing how to speak up can allow you to do so, even when the stakes are high. This skill has meant everything to me, in both personal and professional arenas.
